The only brands we do not take are discount store brands. There is no comprehensive list that includes all brands as there are just too many to ever encompass them all. However, for a list of common brands that are and aren't accepted, click here.
The only thing you EVER pay is $2 per point when you spend them. We don't charge any extra for shipping - and we refund what it costs you to send in your items. The fact that members send in items is how we are able to sell GAP jeans for $6-$10 a pair and shirts for $2-$6....all without charging for shipping.
If everyone just traded points for more clothes and we paid for them to ship them in, then also paid to ship them out - we wouldn't be in business very long!
I hope you will give the site a try and consider how much you can save on clothes without having to leave home to shop and the added value of being able to get name brand clothes that have been hand-checked for quality.
Our members use our service for several reasons:
1. what they get for their items is the savings they receive when they purchase other items on the site
2. they aren't out anything for submitting items and they get credit immediately
3. we take any season of clothing any time of year and you get your points immediately (unlike consigning)
4. our items are each hand checked and quality guaranteed
5. they can purchase items for much less than they can anywhere else - and they don't have to leave home!
Our system is set up to delete inactive accounts after one year, assuming they are lost accounts. Inactive accounts are those with no items sent in or items purchased.
Your points never expire, but if your account has no activity for an entire year, your account (along with your points and any refunds due) will be deleted.

As the law is right now, only Arkansas residents have to pay sales tax on this site. We will notify you when and if the law changes affecting this policy.
Items cost only $2 per point.

GAP jeans - 4 points or $8
Gymboree 12-18M pants - 3 points or $6
Levi's jeans size 8 - 4 points or $8
GAP dress with matching bloomers - 3 points or $6
Total cost (shipping included) is only $28 - for 2 pairs of jeans (GAP and
Levi's), one pair of Gymboree pants, and a GAP dress!
Changing Your Clothes will buy back your points at the rate of $1.00 per point.
To be eligible for point buy back:
1. You must have less than 30 points in your account
2. You must have 'changed your clothes' at least once (used points to get items on the site)
To request a 'buy-back', email us at customerservice@changingyourclothes.com. Include your user ID, home address, and reason for requesting a buy-back. Upon receiving your request, we will zero out your account point value and mail you a check.
Unfortunately, you cannot cancel an order already placed. As soon as you check out, the items you selected are deleted from the site, so no other mother can get them. Therefore, orders cannot be canceled after payment.
The 'other' only appears above an item if that brand is not yet in the database - typically because we haven't yet received many items of that particular brand. However, clicking the details button of any item gives a description and always includes the brand name. An 'other' above the picture for an item in no way means that an item is an off-brand or a lesser brand than anything else on the site.
Because we can't send back items that do not meet the standards of the site, we ask that you carefully check them over before sending them in.
Anything that is received and cannot be put on the site is donated to a local charity.

Items that say NEW are new WITH TAGS ATTACHED. Items that appear like new will say so in the description but are not represented as NEW unless the tags are still attached.
You may cancel your membership at any time by emailing customer service. Be sure to include your first and last name in your email. Your account will be deleted immediately.
Point values are given based upon brand and condition. One item may appear to have been worn more than the other or may be an older style. While points for similar items will be within the same range, age and condition will play a factor in the point value given.
We do only pay $10 per package. However, you can send in as many packages as you like. We only ask that if you send in multiple packages, that you send them parcel post and fit as many items into a box as possible (that will ship for under $10, of course!).
Most definitely! Items sent in should be clean and meet the site's guidelines, but ironing and getting them ready for another mother is what we are here for! Send them in and DON'T waste your time ironing!
